I waited until my son was five months old to purchase the DockATot even though I had my eye on it from the moment I found out I was pregnant. I finally got it when we were struggling to get him to stay asleep for longer than two to three hours. The first night my son slept in it, he slept for FIVE uninterrupted hours and with time he began sleeping for longer periods. His naps also improved tenfold. Needless to say, I wish I would have gotten it from the start.
After a while, my husband and I started experimenting with it and we would let him nap in it in the living room, we took it to the beach with us, and it even made sleeping over my parents’ house so much easier.
By using the DockATot, our son was able to have the same microclimate EVERYWHERE he slept. Because of this, making the transition from bed sharing to the crib was easier than my husband and I would have ever thought. Talking about bed sharing, I slept soundly without having to think about rolling on him or squishing him. With the DockATot, our son had his own safe space to sleep while being right next to me.
For a baby to be comfortable, we need to think not just about their global climate, but about their microclimate as well. The microclimate is the space directly affecting their surroundings. DockATot® is made with hygienic fabrics that do not harbor heat. – DockATot
Taking care of a DockATot is also as simple as throwing the cover in the wash and letting it air dry for a few hours. I would say this is one of my splurge-worthy must-haves, but definitely A MUST HAVE if you can afford it.
I am so passionate about the DockATot that I know it will be one of my first purchases once we have another baby. Next time, I also want to take advantage of the interchangeable covers and have at least two. Oh, and they are releasing another product called the CloudToT and I cannot wait to try it. I almost want to have another baby just for this. Hehe.
